When it comes to art-house-cinema dream teams, it doesnt get much better than the Blood inside me Deutsche Post Covid 19 2020 I can’t stay at home shirt and I will buy this pairing of Tilda Swinton and Pedro Almodvar. The actor and director unite for his English-language debut, La Voz Humana, a new short film set to premiere at next weeks Venice International Film Festival. Based on the Jean Cocteau play of the same name, it tells the story of an actor who receives a devastating phone call from her lover and subsequently spirals into darkness. Naturally, the clothes selected by costume designer, Sonia Grande are every bit as dramatic, and for this project the director found inspiration on the runways. In a video released earlier today, Swintons character is shown looking pensive in a key piece from Balenciagas spring-summer 2020 collection. The crimson Dome dress, first worn by model Natalie Feshchenko during the Paris show, serves as the teasers centerpiece. Swinton moves through a photo studio in the gowns outsize hoopskirt as Alberto Iglesiass moody score plays in the background. The combination of the empty, industrial location, somber music, and innovative fashion creates a melancholy mood.

The statement dress isnt the Blood inside me Deutsche Post Covid 19 2020 I can’t stay at home shirt and I will buy this only Balenciaga look that will feature within the film. The recently released stills showcase designer Demna Gvasalias colorful back catalog while providing hints at the plot. In one image, Swinton stands before Artemisia Gentileschis Sleeping Venus while wearing the ribbed-knit separates from the fall-winter 2019 collection. In another, she hits up a hardware store in sunglasses and resort 2020s turquoise suiting. A larger-than-life Chanel tote bag makes a cameo in the first picture, but so far the costuming appears to be Balenciaga-centric. The clothes add to the beauty of the mise-en-scne, whetting our appetite for what is sure to be one of the most visually stimulating movies of the entire festival.
